About

LP Farm Store, formally Penner Pumpkins, is owned by Lorissa and she is the sole employee. The garden is located near Steinbach. The garden and patch is approx. 3.5 acres and most of the land is used to grow 60 varieties of pumpkins and winter squash. Lorissa started growing pumpkins with her family in 1990 and took over the business in 2017.

What is a Pumpkinist?

Everyone knows what a pumpkin is!  It's an orange circular vegetable (well technically a fruit!) that people carve at Halloween!  An "ist" is a  a person who performs a certain action and who practices in a specific field. I'm a person who takes care of a pumpkin patch and someone who specializes in everything to do with pumpkins.

I'm a pumpkin expert!

Is that All?

I do so much more than just grow pumpkins.  In May and June I sell plants.  July and August I shift to selling vegetables and flower bouquets.  September and October it's all about garlic, dried flower creations, fall decor, and the pumpkin patch!  I'm trying a new endeavor and hoping to expand my season into November and December by selling my dried floral creations at craft sales.
